The New York Mets (22-23) are playing Game 46 of the 2008 Regular Season against the Colorado Rockies (18-29) at Coors Field. It’s the first game of the three-game series. The game began at 9:05 p.m., and it was aired on SNY.

- Delgado hit a 2-run solo shot.
- The Mets made a ton of mistakes and should’ve won the game in 9 innings. The problem was that the Rockies made just as many mistakes so nobody wanted to win.

- It is the first time this month that the Mets lost 5 straight games.

For one day, the Mets were clicking on all cylindars. It must be that Rocky Mountain air. They scored 5 runs in the first inning and kept tacking on insurance runs. Vargas was pretty solid today. He only allowed 2 runs in 6 innings. And what a great Evans had in his Mets debut. Perhaps the Mets will be able to win this series before coming home. I would love to see that.
After a four-game skid, the Mets have to figure out how to turn it around. Once the losing streak ends, I do believe that they will go on and win exactly that amount of games because that’s trend that they’ve set in May. Hopefully, the Mets can smack the ball all over Coors Field. In appearance, Coors Field looks exactly like Citizens Bank Park (except it is purple instead of red) so maybe the Mets will have success just like they did in Philly. Perhaps being a mile high and some thin air might do them right. Omar changed his plans for the weekend to go and be with his team. Hmmm…
I apologize for not writing the past two days. One of our Giants Bloggers on Die Hard Giants Fan, Phessional, came up from Jacksonville, FL and stayed at my place for two days. He moved down there about a year and a half ago and barely comes up here. We partied like rock stars for two days. He has to go to an engagement party tonight which is the reason he is here.
