Jets look To Win Games The Honest Way

June 30, 2008 By: Jeties3737 Category: AFC East, NFL, New York Jets No Comments →

The Pious Patriots and their self righteous ways have tainted their franchise.

When Coach Belichek was confronted with cheating, he simply used the old “everybody else has down it” card.

William Belichek had used an excuse that all of us have submitted in life, especially in Elementary School. Of course he is wrong.

It does not matter if 14 other teams cheated, your Patriot franchise was caught.

It reminds me of when I was seven and stole crayons from another classmate, I used the “everybody else steals crayons cards” on my Teacher.

 Shockingly the excuse was rejected.

My recess and nap time privleges had been revoked for my crime. My Bert and Ernie sticker that was on my desk was also confiscated.

I should have known better, I had my suscription to Highlights Magazine.  I knew what the standard was. I knew about Goofus and Gallant.

I knew I had Goofus tendancies, I knew I had to be careful. But I gave in. Now I had ventured in to Goofus’s circle of degeneracy.  It was a devasting day.

I payed the pentalty. Belichek’s Boys have not. Their integrity has vanished.  The man on the Patriots logo reminds me of Goofus.

The only justice  was The New York Football Giants defeating a team with a perfect record.  This past Super Bowl was the greatest ever.

I was not alive when the Jets defeated the Colts. My DNA was not released.

The Giants smased the Pious Patriots ego’s forever. That win by the Giants, was the beginning of the end for the Patriots franchise.

No more Titles will come out of the New England area, unless it is from a Baseball or Basketball team or a Little League team. Maybe a Bingo Parlor.

Things are looking up for the Jets Football. It is safe to say, that Jet fans know their team has never been dis honest, their past records are proof.

Strahan: Jeremy Shockey Wants Out

June 25, 2008 By: Keith Category: AFC East, Jeremy Shockey, NFC East, NFL, New York Giants, New York Jets No Comments →

It only took until Fox introduced Michael Strahan as the newest member of “NFL Sunday” during a Press Conference yesterday for Strahan to confirm that Jeremy Shockey wants out of New York, according to NewsdayMichael didn’t even wait until the season begins.  Here’s what Strahan had to say about Shockey…

He doesn’t want to play here; that’s obvious with everything that’s going on.

I don’t think you gain much by keeping a guy around. Regardless of how well he plays for you, there’s always that tension, and that’s one thing you can’t have if you’re expected to go back and repeat.

You don’t need that out of one of your leaders. So I think the best thing for them and for Shockey is if they have the opportunity, let him go.

The good news is that my love for Shockey has already been gone.  I know that there are still plenty of Shockey supporters out there.  We all know that Shockey’s a stud when he wants to be, but you never know when you’re going to get that out of him.  The talent is there, but there is something wrong with this guy.  He’s still a child mentally and cries like a kid at the check-out in the supermarket who didn’t get candy.  Shockey jumps up and down screaming his way is the best way.  Jeremy hasn’t done much right for the organization since the Giants lost to the Seahawks in the 2005-2006 Playoffs.

Jeremy Shockey

Even the Giants admitted that they may have to suspend him this season if Shockey tries to stronghold the team.  That’s how serious this has gotten.  The problem is that Jerry Reese had the opportunity to trade Jeremy to the Saints for Draft picks prior to the Draft, but he declined because he didn’t like the offer.  Reese is going to get a lot less in return now he has to trade him.

Chris Baker

J.P. Pelzman of The Record pointed out that the Jets have a disgruntled Tight End named Chris Baker so maybe the Jets and Giants should swap TEs.  My problem with this is that Baker is nowhere near as good as Shockey, but even Shockey isn’t as good as the Shockey of old.  Baker is a much better blocker, but Shockey is a much better receiver.  At this point, the talent level needs to be overlooked a little bit because the Giants need a player that wants to play for the Giants.  Last season was Baker’s best year receiving wise, and he ended up with 41 receptions for 409 yards with 3 TDs.  Shockey had 57 receptions for 619 yards with 3 TDs, and he didn’t play the last few games.  Also remember how many times Shockey dropped passes and drew huge personal foul penalties in the red zone which costed the Giants points.  I do not believe that the Giants can swap these players straight up, but maybe if the Jets threw in another player or two then it could work.  What we saw last year was that the Giants can win the Super Bowl without all of the Pro Bowlers because they gelled as a team.  So if the Giants trade Shockey for somebody that wants to play TE for the Giants then we are already in better shape than we are now.  What good is Shockey going to do if he is suspended and on the bench?

Thursday’s Giants News: Preseason Opponents Announced

April 03, 2008 By: Keith Category: AFC East, AFC North, Carolina Panthers, Cleveland Browns, Jim Zorn, NFC East, NFC South, NFL, New England Patriots, New York Giants, New York Jets, Tom Coughlin, Washington Redskins Comments Off

The NFL announced the opponents that the G-MEN will face in the 2008 Preseason which gets me a little giddy because it’s a sign that football is coming.  Even though we know the opponents that the Jints will face in 2008 already, the Regular Season schedule will be released in a few weeks.  Once we see the order of the teams that they have to face, we can start breaking it down.

Giants.com:

Preseason Opponents Announced - Michael Eisen listed the Giants 2008 Preseason opponents:

  • Week 1 - Carolina Panthers
  • Week 2 - Cleveland Browns
  • Week 3 - New York Jets
  • Week 4 - New York Patriots

The Week 2 game against the Browns will be nationally televised at 8:00 pm on August 18, and the game will be televised on ESPN.  Regarding the other three games, the dates and times are yet to be determined.

New York Daily News:

Tom Coughlin’s changes fit for a title - Gary Meyers discusses the changes Tom Coughlin made prior to a season where Big Blue won the Super Bowl.  I was watching the Jets show on SNY last night, and I heard Eric Mangini say that he needed to make changes too.  In the copy-cat league known as the NFL, it seems like the Jets may win the Super Bowl if Mangini makes the necessary changes. LOL.

New York Times:

Redskins Are the New Adventure for Zorn - If you want to know more about the enemy, Greg Bishop talked to Jim Zorn about becoming the Head Coach of the Washington Redskins.

The Star-Ledger:

Are you ready for some (preseason) football? - Mike Garafolo discusses the Giants 2008 Preseason opponents.

Jets must play great football

December 16, 2007 By: Craig Category: AFC East, Die Hard Jets Fan, Eric Mangini, Gang Green, Kellen Clemens, Kerry Rhodes, NFL, New England Patriots, New York Jets No Comments →

Today in New England, the Jets must play goods football. The defense must put lots of pressure on Tom Brady in order to be effective. Kerry Rhodes must take charge in leading his team today. Kellen Clemens will see many different styles of blitzes from the Patriots. Eric Mangini will also see if Clemens will be their starting quarterback or draft one next year. However, which Jet team will show up today? Hoping the team that beat the Pittsburg Steelers.

December 14, 2007 By: Craig Category: AFC East, Die Hard Jets Fan, Eric Mangini, Gang Green, New England Patriots, New York Jets, Thomas Jones No Comments →

Bill Belichick certianly does carry a grudge. Since opening day in the Meadowlands, and being called a cheat. Since that week New England has crushed must of it’s competition in the NFL. But, this week in Foxborough Gang Green will hold thier heads up, and then Brady and company will start to beat them up an show no mercy. Eric Mangini will remember this game for a long time. On thier brighter side Thomas Jones will break the 1000 yard mark.

Jets get beaten by Cleveland 24-18

December 11, 2007 By: Craig Category: AFC East, Die Hard Jets Fan, Gang Green, Kellen Clemens, New York Jets, Thomas Jones No Comments →

Jets lose another to a team that they should have beaten. Cleveland whose ranked 32nd in defense was able to stop Gang Green on Sunday. Clemens had plenty of opportunities late in the game but could not capitalize on any. Thomas Jones may have his best game as a Jet with 106 yards on 24 carries. On defense, Kerry Rhodes played exceptionally, well with 3 tackles and 1 interception. At this time of their season, the Jets should be looking toward next year and the gaps to be filled.
