October 29, 2008 By: BuffBillsFan Category: Buffalo Bills, Marshawn Lynch, NFL, WGR550, WGR550.com No Comments →

Buffalo Bills running back Marshawn Lynch was not at pratice today.  For news on him and the rest of the Bills squad today, we will take a look at WGR550.com:

Orchard Park, NY (WGR 550)  — Bills RB Marshawn Lynch was missing from practice as the Bills begin preparations for the Jets. Dick Jauron says he was excused and expects him back tomorrow. WR Josh Reed stuck his head out of the training room door, but went back in. He had a protective boot on. G Brad Butler was watching. Aaron Schobel took a few reps with a trainer, then took his helmet off and put on a baseball cap. Schobel told me that he feels, better but not good enough. He hopes he can play Sunday, but he wasn’t overly optimistic. Jauron said with all three, they’re getting better and as they move through the week, they’ll take more of a look at them. Trent Edwards was limping after practice, but he took all his reps. Jauron says he came in for treatment Monday and Tuesday for a sore ankle. He added, “I think he’ll be fine.” John Wendling left practice today with an ankle problem.

It appears Duke Preston is the new starter at center although Jauron did not confirm that. Preston told me he got all first team reps today. He said, “It might be where it’s going” as far as him being the starter. Jauron said it’s an injury thing to Melvin Fowler, but he was going to get Preston first team reps even before Fowler’s injury. He said we’ll see after Fowler is 100-percent healthy. Fowler did play the second half in Miami and practiced fully today.

Buffalo Bills Injury Updates

October 22, 2008 By: BuffBillsFan Category: Aaron Schobel, Bryan Scott, John DiGiorgio, NFL, Terrence McGee, WGR, WGR550.com No Comments →

The Buffalo Bills are back at pratice and some a whole bunch of news came out today, including information on CB Terrence McGee.  Let’s take a look at WGR550.com’s Paul Hamilton to get all of the updates:

Terrence McGee was back on the field taking all reps with the corners in individual drills. He said he didn’t practice the whole time, but that was the plan. The CB says he felt very good and was a bit surprised. He says he has a good chance to play Sunday. Aaron Schobel was sitting next to the goal post in the fieldhouse with the supportive boot still on his foot. Dick Jauron says he won’t practice tomorrow and he’s not overly optimistic that the DE will play, but he wouldn’t totally rule him out. Melvin Fowler was working with a little limp while Ashton Youboty was watching and Brad Butler was not there. Dick Jauron says he’s hoping Butler might be able to practice tomorrow or Friday. He’s nursing a sprained knee.

The Bills put back-up linebacker John DiGiorgio on IR as he faces knee surgery. Rookie Marcus Buggs gets promoted from the practice squad.

The Bills defense has its hands full this week as it prepares for the Dolphins “Wildcat” offense that features RB Ronnie Brown takng a direct snap. It had worked well until Miami ran into Baltimore last week.

I will get more indepth on todays updates and the entire Bills team as we start to break down the match up between the Bills and the Dolphins.
